Here is why you should Visit to Portugal.
Portugal has been on my travel list for a long time, and this trip finally made it real. This blog brings together Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3 of my Portugal travel journey—from a peaceful coastal town to historic castles and the vibrant streets of Lisbon.
Four Points by Sheraton Sesimbra
This my view from my hotel.
My Portugal adventure began in Sesimbra, a beautiful coastal town just outside Lisbon. From the moment I arrived, the town welcomed me with ocean views, fresh sea air, and a calm, laid-back vibe that instantly made me slow down and feel present.
In this first part of the journey, I shared a room tour and a glimpse of my first moments in Portugal—settling in, taking in the scenery, and simply enjoying being there. Nothing rushed, nothing over-planned. Just real travel moments.
Sesimbra feels authentic and peaceful. Life moves at a gentler pace, and the town has a way of reminding you to enjoy the small things—watching the waves, walking along the coast, and appreciating the quiet beauty around you.
This part of the trip was all about arriving, adjusting, and feeling the place.
View from Sesimbra Castle
In Part 2, I explored one of Sesimbra’s most iconic landmarks—the Castle of Sesimbra. Sitting high above the town, the castle offers incredible panoramic views of the coastline and surrounding landscape.
Walking through the castle felt like stepping back in time. The stone walls, open views, and quiet atmosphere made it easy to imagine the history this place holds. From the top, you can see how beautifully Sesimbra is positioned between the mountains and the sea.
This part of the journey added a deeper layer to the experience. It wasn’t just about relaxing anymore—it was about discovering the history and culture that shape this town.
If you enjoy historic sites, scenic viewpoints, and places that tell a story, the Castle of Sesimbra is absolutely worth visiting.
Final Day in Portugal
For Part 3, I headed to Lisbon, Portugal’s vibrant and colorful capital city. The energy here is completely different from Sesimbra—busier, louder, and full of life.
Lisbon is a city of contrasts. From historic streets and classic architecture to modern neighborhoods and lively viewpoints, every corner feels unique. Walking through the city, you’re surrounded by culture, movement, and stories waiting to be discovered.
This part of the trip was all about exploring, wandering, and experiencing the rhythm of the city. Lisbon has a way of pulling you in—whether it’s through its streets, views, or overall atmosphere.
It was the perfect way to balance the calm of Sesimbra with the excitement of city life.
Final Thoughts on My Portugal Journey
These three parts together capture why Portugal is such a special destination. From the peaceful coast of Sesimbra, to historic castles, and finally the vibrant streets of Lisbon—each place offered something completely different, yet equally memorable.
If Portugal is on your travel list, I hope this journey gives you a genuine glimpse of what you can expect. And if you’re planning your own trip, I highly recommend adding excursions and experiences that allow you to truly connect with each destination.
