Why I Started Turquoise Travel: A Little Story From My Heart
Hello, and welcome! I’m Heather Noonan, the owner of Turquoise Travel, and I’m so happy you’re here. Starting this blog feels a bit like opening the door to my home and inviting you in for a cozy chat about one of my greatest loves travel.
Travel has always been a big part of my life. Some of my happiest memories come from being out in the world, discovering new places with my husband, Sam. Cruising especially became our favorite way to explore. There’s something magical about waking up in a new destination, holding hands on the deck, and feeling that mix of excitement and peace only travel can bring.
Over the years, travel has taught me that it’s not just about where you go, it’s about how those moments make you feel. It’s the laughter shared with strangers who become friends, the sunsets you wish you could pause, and the way a simple experience can warm your heart long after the trip ends.
How Turquoise Travel Came to Life
Becoming a travel advisor wasn’t something I planned , it was something that naturally grew from my love of exploring and helping others. I realized that the joy I felt planning our own adventures was something I wanted to share. Now, getting to help people create trips that truly reflect their dreams is one of the greatest blessings in my life.
I love listening to each person’s vision, whether it's a quiet getaway, an unforgettable cruise, or a once-in-a-lifetime adventure, and turning it into something beautifully personal. I believe travel should feel special, meaningful, and stress-free, and it’s an honor to be part of someone’s journey like that.
A Little Peek Into My Life
When I’m not planning vacations, you’ll usually find me doing something creative. I adore refinishing furniture, painting, crafting, and finding new ways to add a little charm to the world around me. Home is where Sam and I share life with Dexter, our sweet (and sometimes mischievous!) Miniature Poodle who always keeps things interesting.
I also have a soft spot for caring for children, especially babies. There’s something so peaceful and pure about those moments. And at my core, I’m someone who believes in lifelong learning , whether it’s discovering a new destination or picking up a new hobby.
Why I’m Starting This Blog
This blog is a place where I can share my stories, my love of travel, and the little bits of inspiration I’ve gathered along the way.
